What is Computer Graphics



Graphic:

A Graphic is a visual representation of an object or an image. Therefore, Computer Graphics is a simple type of images displayed on the screen of the computer.



Computer Graphics can be 2 or 3 dimensional. Early computers only supported 2D monochrome graphics, meaning they ware black and white or black and green, depending on the monitor. Earl computers only supported 16 are 256 colours, most computers can now display graphics in millions of colours. 2D graphics comes in the two flavours- i. Raster - ii. Vector. 


Raster Graphics:

Raster graphics are used for digital photos, web graphics, Icons, and other types of images. Raster graphics are the most simple graphics. Raster graphics are composed of pixels of a simple grid, which can each be a different looking colour.

What is Computer Graphics

Vector Graphics:

Vector graphics are made up of paths, which may be lines, shapes, letters or other scalable objects. They are used for creating logos, signs, and different types of drivings. Unlike Raster graphics, Vector can be scaled without losing quality to a larger size.
